Chief Financial Advisor
When Phillip was young, money was tight. His parents worked long hours and there never seemed to be enough to escape the grind. If it wasn't one thing, it was another.
Phillip quickly learned the value of a dollar and how to make money last.
At 5 years old the family coin collection which was started by Phillip's Grandfather and built upon by his Dad was entrusted to Phillip. This early responsibility and the scarcity at home sparked in him a fascination with money that has grown over the years.
Phillip joined the military when he was 17 years old, straight out of high school. After serving in the U.S. Army for 7 years as a special operations signal soldier he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Strategy.
During this time Phillip searched for a financial advisor who could take over for him so he could focus on his studies.
He quickly learned that financial services companies operate on a model that offers advice solely to the affluent and did not always provide quality advice.
This infuriated Phillip. Service members receive relatively lower pay and deserved the best possible service. Who was looking out for them?
Phillip saw an opportunity to change the landscape.
Once Phillip graduated, he went to work in corporate America leveraging his education while earning, saving and investing. Phillip achieved financial independence at age 34.
The time had come, Phillip was going to change the financial industry by building a business that offered advice to all individuals regardless of their wealth.
Stars & Stripes Financial Advisors was born.

Our financial planning process leverages the OODA Loop decision making framework. We follow this up with a series of meetings that help us observe, orient, decide and act in support of that intent.
In his free time, Phillip can be found hiking in the woods, spending time with his friends and family, and working to improve his community. Phillip is happily married to his wife Debbie who is his biggest fan and supporter. They have five fur-kids: Bowman, Willie, Lima, Basil and Nori.
