Please take a look at some of these common questions people have asked us. Who Do You Serve?
We provide financial planning and advisory services to military service members, veterans and their families.
We believe that because we have lived the experience of being in the military community we can serve this community better than those who have never served. First hand experience with the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), VA benefits, and transitioning out of the military and into the civilian sector are just a few of the things that set us apart. Because we understand what it is like to serve and be a veteran or military spouse, we can bring value to our clients faster and more robustly than those who have no experience in this area.
Do You Work With Reservists and National Guard?
Yes, we work with National Guard and Reserve military service members. As a Reserve or National Guard military service member you likely have a more complicated financial situation than your active duty or civilian counterparts. Living your life with one foot in the military and the other in the civilian work force comes with many complexities others will never know. It is our privilege to serve you.
Do You Only Work With People in the Military or Veteran Community?
No, we work with people from all walks of life. However, we specialize in providing service to people from the military and veteran community. Due to our our background and expertise within this community we believe we can provide exceptional service to this community that others cannot.
Do You Work With Federal Government Employees?
Yes, we work with federal government employees. Not only are many of the benefits the same between the military and the federal work force but many of our veterans choose to make a second career as civil servant. As a result much of the work we do is helping people who are federal government employees or contractors to set and achieve their financial goals in the context of working for the federal government either directly or indirectly.
I Don't Live in the Atlanta Metro Area, Can I Still Work With You?
Yes, we work with clients who are spread out all over the country and the world. The military and life as a veteran pursuing a second or even third career can take you anywhere across the globe. We are committed to providing our services to you no matter where life has taken you.
Are You A Fee-Only Financial Advisor?
Yes, Stars & Stripes Financial Advisors is a fee-only financial advisor. We do not get paid commissions nor do we receive kick-backs for selling financial products.
How Do Fee-Only Financial Advisors Get Paid?
